Top 8 Fall Fashion Essentials for 2016

by Elizabeth Flading

Leaves changing color, drinking hot tea, visiting pumpkin patches – these are just some of the things we love about the fall. What we also love about this season is the changing fashion. Just as the season transitions from warm to cool, we start pulling out our beloved sweaters and boots to embrace a new look.

We believe in a timeless closet, clothes you could wear over 30 times and for decades to come. With this in mind, we’ve cultivated an eight-piece autumn essentials list to incorporate into your wardrobe. All sustainably made by yours truly.

Bold Collar

Make a statement while looking sophisticated as ever. This is a forever favorite because of how easy and sharp this look is. With cooling temperatures and added windshield, you’ll love the extra warmth the collar provides.

Everyday Hoodie

Nothing beats being able to cozy up in your favorite hoodie when temperatures start dropping. This year, opt for one with more details than the average to give it a refined feel. This piece is perfect when on the way to yoga, running errands, or just hanging out. Image courtesy of Ash & Rose.

Perfectly Cozy Leggings

A fall must have? Leggings. Seems like some weeks we can live in them exclusively. This is why it’s important to invest in a quality made pair.  Pair our leggings with your favorite tunic, dress, or top for a comfortable and adorable outfit.

Another sophisticated look to take on this autumn is the cowl neck. This beautiful neckline if perfectly versatile; enjoy the freedom of dressing this top up or down for whatever your day holds.

Layering Top

A fundamental of fall fashion? Layering. This can be an art form and sure to take your outfit to the next level. In doing so, you need to have a good and breathable base, such as our Lotus Tunic. This fan favorite has more details than your average top, but is simple enough to throw extra layers on.

Throw On & Go Dress

As we mentioned, layers are the name of the game this season. A simple A-line dress makes for a great base layer, while still remaining a stunner on its own. We’re featuring our Mayflower dress because of its go anywhere ability. Layer this dress with our Plumeria Jacket and tights or leggings for a fall-friendly beautiful outfit.

Everyday Accessory- Scarf

In our book, scarf season is a synonym for fall. Scarves are great because they add more texture and visual appeal to any outfit. Keep in more warmth by adding this extra layer to create a finished look.
